Military Technology
Elaine Thorndike has worked for the last two decades in technology, manufacturing and
agriculture. She thrives in
fast-paced environments and working collaboratively with cross functional teams in emerging industries.
Elaine launched
the Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technology (CAMT), a Manufacturing and Technology Center for
the State of
Colorado. Her organization worked with manufacturers, universities, national labs, local and federal
government to
develop programs to assist companies in becoming more globally competitive by incorporating new technologies
and
business practices. Elaine's leadership resulted in a $300 million economic growth impact working with CAMT
between 2005
and 2011. Elaine also led the development of a regional economic cluster for the aerospace and clean energy
industries,
resulting in a Space Act Agreement with NASA for technology acceleration. Elaine loves working to apply
technology to
address global challenges and has been very successful forming public/private partnerships to accelerate
this process.
